mibDepot Search Hints
- Keywords
You may enter several blank-separated fields.
Examples: vlan or 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.29 or 43.29 or newroot or Cdp. Note that Object Identifiers do not have
to be complete.
You may leave the keyword field blank to search for ALL objects of the
type(s) selected below.
- Case
Searches are case-insensitive. That means you can type vLAn or vLaN for the
same results.
- Single or Multiple-word Search
You can enter more than one word keyword to search for and select whether
you want you search to match all keywords or at least one.
- Whole words or Parts of words
You can select to search for exact word matching or for matching part of a string.
For example, you can search for all table index definitions which have the exact
ifIndex object or those which contain ifIndex, such as atmIfIndex.
- Saving Search Settings
You can save your search settings so that you do not have to re-select
them. For example, if you only have Cisco and Nortel equipment,
you want to save your Search Settings to include only these vendors.
The result will be a faster search and fewer mouse clicks for you.
- Defaults
We provided the default settings for MIB Object Types, which represent
typical search settings.
- Advanced
You can search for MIB objects which are used as part of a table index
or in a trap variable binding list, by selecting Table Index
or Trap Variable respectively.
- Not supported
-
A combination of alphanumeric and numeric OID keywords is not supported.
For example, to search for private.enterprise.19.1.2.3.4.5,
use 4.1.19.1.2.3.4.5 or just 19.1.2.3.4.5 instead.
-
Keywords such as ifMIB.ifMIBObjects.ifXTable.ifXEntry are not
supported for the time being. Search for the last object name ifXEntry instead.
